An
international standard tourism and service complex will
be built in the Thua Thien-Hue province's Chan May-Lang
Co economic zone by the Singaporean Banyan Tree group.

A
memorandum has been signed between representatives of
Banyan Tree and the provincial people's committee.
The 200-hectare complex includes six resorts and hotels
with 2,400 rooms. The total investment capital is over
US$200 million.
Banyan Tree has invested in more than 60 similar international
standard tourism and services complexes in 22 countries.
The
27,000 ha Chan May-Lang Co economic zone, 70km from
Hue city, has lured 61 investment projects. Among them,
there are 23 tourism projects, with four coming into
operation and four others to be carried out in 2007.
The provincial authorities offer preferential treatments
in land leasing and taxation to investment projects
in the Chan May-Lang Co economic zone to appeal to investors.
